Resident Evil poster

Tuesday's bump didn't carry into Wednesday. Resident Evil added $2.3M on Day 13, down 24.1% from Tuesday's $3.0M, with Week 2's final day still a day away but already trending softer than the previous day briefly suggested.

Day 13 Snapshot
Day 13 Add$2.3M
US Domestic$110.6M
Overseas$100.0M
Worldwide Gross$210.6M
Budget$75.0M
The real test: the week-on-week drop against Day 6 is down 49.0%, nearly half — but the domestic-to-budget ratio has still crept up to 1.47x rather than stalling, which is the actual signal Week 2 was supposed to deliver. Whether that keeps climbing into Week 3 is the open question now, not whether this week was weaker than the first.

Reaching the 1.75x HIT line from here needs roughly another $20M domestic — a real stretch for a horror title fading at this pace, but not out of reach if overseas, already running close behind domestic at $100.0M, keeps adding at anything like its current rate.
