A weekday drop after a building weekend is the ordinary shape almost every film takes, not a specific problem with this one — the actual test was always going to be whether the fall stayed inside normal weekday-versus-weekend range or wiped out the slow-build story entirely. Worth watching: a film that grew every day of its opening weekend earns some benefit of the doubt on its first weekday dip — Tuesday will say whether this settles into a small-but-steady run or the weekend crowd really was the ceiling.
